Terms and community standards

By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the community standards below.

Membership

Membership is open to anyone who affirms the Civic Pledge in good faith. Accounts are personal and may not be shared. We may suspend accounts that violate the standards; every suspension is logged and may be appealed by email.

Community standards

Members may disagree about anything. Members may not:

• harass, threaten, or dehumanize other members or any group of people;
• post another person's private information;
• post spam, advertising, or campaign material;
• impersonate another person or organization;
• knowingly post false claims of fact.

Moderators hide or remove content that breaks these standards. Disagreement with a moderator's decision is not a violation; you may say so.

Content you post

You keep ownership of what you write. You give Common Ground permission to display it on this site. Published responses may be edited for length only with your consent, and you may ask for any response to be removed.

Independence

Common Ground is independent of political parties, candidates, and campaigns. We do not endorse candidates and do not permit chapters to do so. Content on this site does not constitute an endorsement of any candidate, party, or ballot measure.

No warranties

The site is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate and available and will correct errors when we learn of them.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a date and in the newsletter.
